Eng. David Opiyo is an experienced social entrepreneur whose work has supported Micro and Small Enterprises throughout his career. He brings to the board over 30 years’ experience in corporate and project management. He has served in various senior management and advisory roles both in the public and private sector. His most recent assignments include working with Kenya Industrial Estates Ltd as General Manager, and Chairing the board of Space and Styles Ltd an International supplier and manufacturer of building materials. He has also served in the board of Kenya National Cleaner Production Centre a quasi-government body that specializes in Environmental conservation and clean production. He has also volunteered his time to a number of community and school boards in Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nairobi and an MBA in Strategic Management and Investment from the Cyprus Institute of Marketing. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Hubert Humphrey fellowship program of the US government having been based at the American University Washington DC.
He is an astute, pioneering, decisive, and focused finance professional with regional and international experience in balance sheet management, budgeting, revenue and P&L, fund raising, liquidity and cash flow management. He has a strong background on Financial Accounting and Controls, Corporate Finance and Treasury. Strategic Planning and Management, Project Management, Executive-Level Communications. He has a dependable professional focused on impacting the lives of people and particularly the less privileged in the society. He has previously worked as an investment manager with Equatorial Commercial Bank, KCB Bank Group and Doshi Group of Companies. He holds Masters and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Symbiosis University, India), Certified Public Accountant – K, CIFA and ACI.
She is an experienced HR Management practitioner with strategic and comprehensive understanding of Human Resources Management, business, technical and organizational change issues. She has previously worked with Gertrude’s Hospital, East African Cables, African Banking Corporation at management level. She currently works with Red Cross Kenya, a charitable non-profit making organization as Group Head – Human Resource Manager. She holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Public Administration, an Australian Leadership Award fellow at the Griffith University, with a Higher National Diploma in Human Resources Management possessing strong HR management capacity and competencies with benefit from hands on experience of varied nature
Is Finance & IT consultant on a private basis. He has acquired extensive experience in software development. He has developed the same time assisted with tax compliance issues. He has attended a number of trainings including, national budget, taxation and database development. He is also talented in developing innovative business ideas and strategies that has seen him develop programs and software for his clients. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Nairobi with CPA part II. He brings a wealth of expertise on finance and business strategies
