He is the Executive Director of CEDI and Secretary to the board. Nixon is responsible for overall strategy and management in the organization. He brings over 15 years of expertise in strategic management, public relations, fundraising and programs management. He has a wealth of expertise in entrepreneurship and Business development services including training and Incubation. In the past he has worked with Kenya Industrial Estate as a Regional Business Head, and Senior Business Development Services Consultant. During which he also worked in collaboration with International Labour Organization, UNDP, UNIDO, ASDSP, Women and Youth Enterprise development funds in Kenya. He is also an ILO certified national of Gender and Entrepreneurship. Before joining the CEDI, he was a Business Development Consultant on a private basis. He strongly believes his skills and expertise can be used to change the course of the marginalized in the society particularly the children, youth and women.
He holds an MBA in Financial Management & Investment (Cyprus Institute of Marketing), and a Bachelor of Science degree (University of Nairobi).
Asha uses her love for numbers to manage all aspects of CEDI’S finances as the Finance and Admin officer. She brings over 3 years’ experience in developing, managing and monitoring project budgets, preparing financial reports, resource mobilisation and project accounting. She is responsible for the overall financial management and implementation of financial oversight mechanisms to ensure financial integrity and compliance with donor requirements across the project activities. She has in the past trained and worked with financial industry experts like Barclays bank Kenya and Cellulant Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce – finance option from Kenyatta University.She is both analytical and enthused about safeguarding of children and transforming the lives of communities to live a fulfilling life.
He brings over 3 years experience in project management and community development, with a strong bias on thematic areas of disability inclusion, women/girls’ empowerment, SGBV, Youth extremism and Environmental justice, having worked under EU Aid, Technoserve International, Oxfam and US President’s Malaria Initiative. He is also cofounder of Amal Initiative, a grassroot initiative working with religious figures, community leaders and schools with an aim of rehabilitating and reintegrating former radicalized youths in Kayole informal settlements. He currently holds a BSc in Environmental Science (Kenyatta University), with various trainings in MEAL, Child Safeguarding, Project Management, Supporting Victims of Domestic Violence.
She brings over 3 years professional experience in community development, implementing and coordinating donor-funded and community supported programs. She has implemented project cycle management functions in support of projects that impact partners and communities, especially children, youth and their caregivers, having worked under USAID, UNICEF and Conrad Hilton Foundation funded projects implemented in close coordination with the Departments of Children Services, Civil Registration and the Ministry of Health. She is currently pursuing her graduate studies at the Audencia Business School
He has five years’ experience in project management, more specifically, in project planning, conducting feasibility studies, project implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. He has previously worked at Savic Consultants as a Research, Project Management and Policy Consultant and currently serves as a Board Member at YMCA Central Branch, Nairobi, where he chairs the Youth and Programmes Committee. He is a contributing writer on political economy and geopolitical issues for The African Executive Magazine, a publication of the Inter Region Economic Network (IREN Kenya) – a leading think tank providing strategic insights and policy solutions tailored to spur prosperity in Africa through organized enterprises. Furthermore, he holds an undergraduate degree in B. A. Economics & Sociology from Egerton University.
Florence is an avid development practitioner with a particular focus on community issues. She has skills in Integrated Advocacy Management which she uses to ensure the wellness of her community by creating partnerships and linkages with community stakeholders. Florence has a particular passion working with children, teenagers, women and young people. Florence is an exemplary worker and an invaluable member of her community. In her freetime, Florence enjoys singing, farming and teaching Sunday school children in her local church.
Dominic is a Development Professional with immense experience in the development space. His areas of expertise include Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation and Administrative investigations. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Sociology and a host of other certifications. Dominic has a wealth of Knowledge and is well acquainted with fiscal issues involving economic statistics, development and policy. Dominic is passionate about youth issues and actively participates in the Young Men’s Christian Association as a volunteer. He is a team-player, uses his catalogue of skills to lead and assist others and is a great asset for the organization.
